Focusing on welding super duplex stainless steels, this session examines how process variables, from wire chemistry and GTAW/TIPTIG parameters to shielding and backing gas composition, shape weld metal and root microstructures. Presenters will link these microstructural shifts to corrosion performance, including efforts to surpass PREN 42 and boost pitting resistance in demanding service environments.
